Would your pets perhaps tell you something very special?D Since this is often a great challenge for primary school students, one should only dare to tackle such a type of text at the entrance exam if one is a "professional essayist" and has received mostly good grades so far. In this respect, it is important to incorporate the fantasy aspect into an otherwise realistic setting. Exactly here lies for many students also died particular difficulty of this type of essay: Quite a few overshoot the mark and get bogged down in stories that list a smorgasbord of fantastic elements in just a few lines (dwarves, magic powers, time travel, etc.) without building up a coherent plot. How do you feel in a situation where you have to face your fear? What scared you? What did you do to get rid of the fear? Some people are very afraid of spiders or dogs. Tell about a situation in which you were more afraid than ever before. What makes you really angry? What do you do when you're angry? What goes through your mind when you're angry? And what about when you calm down? Do you regret your reaction while you were angry? There are things that make you so angry that you can't think straight. Has this happened to you? What did you do to feel better? When you do something forbidden, sometimes it feels good at first, but afterwards, guilt plagues you. Describe what happened to you when you lost once. I'm sure you've experienced this at some point. Who came to visit? What did the unexpected guest and you do? I was all alone at home when suddenly the doorbell rang. What are your common interests? Did you do different things in the past than you do now? Do you have your friends maybe even met during a common hobby? Describe what you like to do with your friends. What would we do without our friends? We would probably be terribly bored a lot of the time. Do you practice your hobby alone or in a group? Do you have a hobby that you practice regularly? What kind of hobby is it? Describe what you like to do outside of school. Hobbies should sweeten our free time and ensure that we have a balance to our school day. How do you celebrate your birthday? Tell about one of your past birthdays. How do you get to school? How does the day go in your class? What do you do during the breaks? Make sure that you do not describe an unusual day at school, but an ordinary one. What was especially nice/worst about this particular vacation?ĭescribe a normal day for you. How did you face the problem?ĭescribe your best or worst experiences from the vacations. Tell about a situation where you had to solve a really difficult task. How did the visit go? Was it a pleasant or unpleasant experience? What do you do when you need to tidy up?ĭescribe a situation in which you visited someone or received a visit yourself. But sometimes it can be liberating to clean out and get everything back in good order.
